EP11 - [Marriage certificate]
SY guided ZSC back to the bedroom, because she doesn't want ZSC's grandmother to think that they got into a fight. Although that wasn't a strong enough reason for ZSC, he still caved in because of SY was relentlessly cajoling him to stay.
The next morning, ZSC got up early to devise a plan with his grandmother. Right after SY got up and freshened up, she was guided to grandmother, where ZSC then proposed the idea of getting marriage certificate first and then follow up with wedding in the near future. Hearing this, SY was shell-shocked and therefore she quickly ran back to the guest bedroom to contemplate. It wasn't long, because SY came out and said yes. At that point, ZSC's smile was uncontainable.
With chauffeur Lin's help, both ZSC and SY managed to make a same-day appointment at the marriage license bureau and got the papers done. Afterwards, they all returned to the Zhou family mansion. ZSC's grandmother also came along, because they knew ZSC's step-mother would be unaccepting of this news. Hence, they brought grandmother, who had a bigger voice in the family to ensure the rest of the family accepts. The same night, ZSC subtly slipped both the engagement and wedding rings to SY. SY then playfully displayed the ring to ZSC, and they wrapped up the evening with a forehead kiss before going to their separate rooms for the night.
The next day, per grandmother's instructions, ZSC, SY and ZSC's family went to meet a close family friend. SY was told to sit in the same car as ZSC's step-mother, who took the opportunity to tell SY that she will never accept her as a daughter-in-law. Despite the bad attitude, SY quickly brushed it aside without mentioning to ZSC.

ZSC's grandmother introduced SY to the leader of a family friend, who had came prepared with two calligraphy pieces as congratulatory presents to ZSC and SY. To reciprocate, SY showed off her drawing talent and drew lotus flowers for the grandfather as a return present.
Back at the Zhou family mansion, ZSC's grandmother and ZSC's step-mother sat down to chat. Through this interaction, it came to light that ZSC's step-mother dislikes SY because SY doesn't have the strong family background that can support ZSC in competition with ZSC's second uncle in the fight for power. From the discussion, it seems the step-mother had good intentions.
In ZSC's room, ZSC asked SY why she chose him, especially since his visual is no good while she's gorgeous. SY replies to tell him that she find him interesting. They also talked about ZSC's name and how it was a coincidence, but SY mentioned the coincidence was the both of their names (alluding to their carried over fate from their past lives). The next day, ZSC needed to go back to Germany to continue his research. This time around, he will be gone for 2 months. Upon their separation, both regretted not giving each other a hug.
At the airport, chauffeur Lin told ZSC that SY has a coworker who likes SY, therefore ZSC should put an end to this long-distance relationship if he still wants this wife. While at home, SY was visibly upset that she didn't get her goodbye hug, so she ate 3 ice cream by herself. When her friend came out of her room, SY surprised her with the news of her and ZSC getting their marriage certificate.
In the next scene, SY and her roommate went to do grocery shopping, where SY's roommate bumped into a stranger at the market. This guy ended up answering the roommate's peculiar question that crabs probably can't eat yogurt.
Back in Germany, ZSC returns to his dorm to find an empty house, along with a bed decorated with heart shaped rose petals. ZSC then reminisces about their wedding ring, which has "April 7th" engraved on the inside. While in Shanghai, chauffeur Lin takes SY to the new wedding home, and we get a sneak peek of SY and ZSC's future home.
EP13 - [Reunion in Germany]
On one of SY and ZSC's daily calls, ZSC tells SY that he has to attend an International Space Conference next week and therefore will have time for SY if she is able to visit. Without hesitation, SY agreed and happily got ready to visit ZSC in Germany. Right after the call, ZSC's roommate in Germany brought back a drunk TJR to stay at his home. TJR woke up in the middle of the night to catch ZSC in his study, thus she took the opportunity to ask him why he got married so quickly. Instead of clearing up the misunderstanding where most people thought ZSC got married because he wanted to get his rightful inheritance, ZSC coldly brushed aside her question and stated he has no obligations to explain to a stranger. The next morning, as TJR is ready to leave ZSC's dorm, ZWC also came to "grab a free breakfast".
Back in Shanghai, SY's roommate Wang Yue Yi is taking SY to the airport. On the ride over, WYY suggested SY should try tricks to get more power in SY and ZSC's relationship. But SY came back with her reason, which was that she doesn't want to waste a single day she gets with ZSC in this life. Fast forward to Germany, ZSC and MX both went to the airport to pick up SY. Seeing SY at the airport, MX realized he missed out on his only opportunity to be with the girl that he fell in love with at first sight. But containing his disappointment and frustration, MX proceeded to complete his duty as ZSC's lawyer and handed SY the paperworks to sign so that SY can get her fair share of marital entitlements. After completing his work, MX left the dorm.
Since this is SY's first time in Germany, ZSC accompanied SY to explore the city. After getting home, ZSC got called out to a meeting, where he didn't return until the next day. Rather than hopping straight into bed, he decided to nap on the chair. However, SY woke up in time to call him to bed. SY asked ZSC what he plans on doing to return the favor of her gifting him flowers earlier in the day. But of course, ZSC doesn't know so he asked her for what she wanted. Clever SY asked for ZSC to either read poetry or sing to help her fall back to sleep, thus ZSC picked poetry.
As the both of them fell asleep, they naturally moved into each other's arms. Two hours later, ZSC woke up first, and he took the chance to observe her closely. As if knowing ZSC is wake, SY opened her eyes to catch him looking at her. She brought up her hand to run her finger on his nose, much like how she did in their previous lives. SY then followed up with her comment that "even the most beautiful things in life will have a day when they'll grow old, but you're the best in my heart because I can see the bones of beauty inside you". ZSC then replied with the poem that he thought exemplified his first impression of SY--"her beauty is breathtaking and charming with only a touch of make-up". SY then abruptly hopped out of bed to give him the cufflinks she bought for him, before leaving for the kitchen to make breakfast for ZSC.

Upon leaving home, ZSC found MX waiting outside for him. Instead of telling ZSC what's bothering him, MX swallowed his own problems (still working to overcome his regret of missing SY). After ZSC left, SY went to the football game to record it for her roommate. SY then heads to a late lunch, where ZWC was waiting for her to tattletale on TJR and ZSC's previous engagement. ZWC even brought the ring that TJR stole the night she rested at ZSC's dorm. ZWC was trying to plants seeds of doubt in SY to ruin the relationship, but SY said nothing and simply nodded.
Back home in Shanghai, WYY bumped into the same guy from the supermarket at a real estate agency. On their way home, this guy named Du Feng asked for her WeChat and they finally have each other's contact information.
Switching over to Germany, ZSC learns that he was accused of improper financial conduct, thus his research completion date might be delayed. After wrapping up the work at the lab, ZSC returns his dorm to find SY eating yogurt. She then proceeds to tell him about ZWC and what ZWC told her. Rather than throwing a fit, SY already knew to trust ZSC and thus they avoided falling in ZWC's trip. At the end of their conversation, SY asked to meet ZSC's best friend in Germany and thus ZSC invited his German roommate over for a meal. Over the meal, SY learned about ZSC's past and the type of person he is, all thanks to ZSC's altruistic roommate. Except the conversation quickly ended when his roommate unknowingly mentioned TJR, which made it awkward for ZSC and so his German roommate left the dorm to allow the couple space to remediate. Before leaving, the roommate told ZSC in German that she now knows the story behind the meteorite watch.
After the meal, ZSC wanted to take SY around and buy her some flowers. While he was getting flowers, she encountered a street riot where the rioters had coincidentally broke through the driver seat window, and ended up scaring SY in the car. ZSC quickly ran over to appease her shock. Back at home, SY was still shell-shocked from the experience. Instead of comforting her, ZSC told SY that his work is getting delayed and thus he cannot go back to Shanghai with her. He then asked what he can do to make her feel better, and SY asked for him to sweet talk her. Not knowing what to say, SY hinted to ZSC that he can say she's pretty, which he then matter of factly agreed and then gave her a kiss on the cheek. Just as SY thought that things will get more heated, ZSC brought her to the bathroom to blow dry her hair for her. Later that evening, they slept in separate rooms one again...
The next day, ZSC woke up early to make Chinese pasta for SY. As she was eating, ZSC told SY that they will sleep in the same room once he's back in Shanghai. Hearing this, SY nearly choked out of shock. In return, SY replied that they are not married until they have their wedding ceremony, so ZSC will have to sleep in the reading room. ZSC showed disappointment for the first time at SY's obvious rejection to his offer. After breakfast, ZSC and MX took SY to the airport, where SY and ZSC waved lovingly to see each other off. SY gave ZSC a peck on the cheek and left. While ZSC once again missed the opportunity to give SY a goodbye hug.
EP15 - [ZSC returns from Germany to find SY]
ZWC visits MX in hopes of getting MX to approve his company's financial expenses, since MX is ZSC's personal lawyer for anything that touches the inheritance that ZSC got by birthright. Before ZWC leaves from his fruitless visit, MX warned ZWC that if anything happens to ZWC in Germany, MX would hold it against ZWC.
Back home in Shanghai, DF is wearing a police outfit and discussing ZSC in the police office, questioning why a research professor would come home all of a sudden to take over the Zhou family business. DF then goes home to coincidentally bump into WYY, and she then invites him to go to Wu Zhen with her and SY. Arriving at Wu Zhen, SY ends up treating WYY, DF and SY's coworkers as a celebratory meal for her winning the voice actress award previously. During the meal, WYY asks if ZSC would be jealous if he knew someone likes SY, and SY answers "I hope so". Moments later, ZSC calls to give his morning update. SY then reveals that Director Wang Ying Dong is pursuing her, and ZSC confesses he is bothered. In Germany, ZSC's German roommate tells ZSC to beat up SY's admirer.
In Wu Zhen, WYY and DF is taking a late night stroll when DF asks WYY about SY's fear of the dark. This causes WYY to question DF about his motives for DF, but DF quickly turns down the suspicion. At night, SY calls ZSC after waking up from a nightmare, where she reveals that she gets the same dream over and over. SY then asks ZSC to name famous teas to coax her to sleep, which actually worked.
The next morning SY attends a voice acting competition. After work, ZSC's youngest brother came to deliver presents to SY and her coworkers in ZSC's name. Then he proceeds to stay behind with SY, and they spent time chatting about the historical ZSC. On his way out, ZSC's youngest brother reveals that ZSC sent him to watch over SY's safety. Thus, he continued to visit the next day.
SY then goes on a boat ride with her coworkers, only to find ZSC at the top of a bridge waiting for her. Their sweet reunion started with ZSC giving Director Wang a look that easily meant "stay away from my wife", which ZSC explains to SY as it was his way of saluting to a loser. ZSC and SY then explores Wu Zhen, including a dyehouse. Suddenly it started raining, SY and ZSC got wet from helping to bring in the dyed fabric hence they returned to hotel early. ZSC heard SY call him husband for the first time, and he lovingly looked over to SY. Back in their room, ZSC's youngest brother already left to give the couple space.
EP16 - [Shiyi drunk and ZSC buys pomegranate for SY]
ZSC and SY chatted in bed after spending the afternoon in bed. Back in Germany, TJR found out ZSC left Germany for good. Flash back to Wu Zhen, SY and ZSC went to grab a meal with WYY and DF. WYY was pressuring ZSC to have a drunk, but due to his refusal, SY ended up drinking the shot for him.
DF chatted with ZSC while both of them waited for WYY and SY to return. When they did, WYY handed over a drunk SY to ZSC to tend. Before they could get back to the hotel, SY took a seat at a courtyard and ended up sleeping there. While ZSC kept her company, the scene pivots to ZSC's youngest brother going to find SY's cousin Yuan Yuan. Through ZSC's youngest brother, Yuan Yuan found out SY suddenly became wealthy from marrying ZSC. And ZSC's youngest brother asked for Yuan Yuan's favor to go back and say good things about ZSC to SY's family and relatives.
MX returns to Zheng Jiang and was greeted by ZWX in the rain. Upon seeing this MX was very worried about her health, since she's always had heart problems. One of the reasons MX returned was to take ZWX to see a few famous cardiologist. While in Wu Zhen, SY is still sleeping but ZSC ended up taking her back to her hotel. SY and ZSC had a few cute drunk conversations before falling asleep.
While SY was deep in dreamland, she mentioned that she wanted to eat pomegranate. Thus ZSC woke up early and borrowed someone's bike to search for pomegranate, which he did find in the end. SY was thrilled to see pomegranate first thing in the morning, and they had a few bites before heading back to Shanghai to get ZSC moved into SY's apartment.
